Tips for
making best use of a training opportunity

If you have joined a training course or boot camp to prepare for your certification program:

Complete your training before you take an exam
You may be surprised to know that many candidates try to tackle actual exams while in the middle of their training, and resultantly have a high failure rate.

Make full use of the training opportunity
Many training institutes offer follow-up support. After your training review what you have learnt, take practice exams and use follow-up support appropriately to enhance your preparation.

Prepare for one exam at a time
If you fail in an exam, prepare better and attempt again. If you skip it to attempt later and fail in the next exam you have entered a negative spiral. This will destroy your morale, diffuse your focus and increase your chances of failure. If you pass an exam though after attempting a few times, and then pass another, you have entered a positive spiral that should see you through.
